Who We Are
We are two mature individuals with diverse backgrounds, many ideas and dreams, and a strong passion for Norwegian nature and culture.
In our encounters with enthusiastic Norwegian Americans in the USA, we have been fascinated by the pride and appreciation they have for Norwegian culture and traditions.
Words like "lutefisk" and "lusekofte" roll easily off their tongues. It was this phenomenon that inspired Christin to launch LUTEKOFTA.
That’s why we established the company Norcult AS – to reflect our desire to contribute to the preservation of Norwegian culture and traditions, not only in Norway and among Norwegian
Americans but also as a gesture to all tourists from around the world who come to see and experience our beautiful country.
We hope you will join us on the journey with the LUTEKOFTA brand. We have many exciting
ideas and plans!

Why LUTEKOFTA?
This unique pattern tells a story. Lutekofta is made with love for the northern Norwegian nature and Norwegian food culture. Lofoten in Northern Norway is the home of stockfish. Here cod has been caught, hung on stocks and turned into stockfish for generations. Stockfish has been exported from Norway ever since the Viking Age. Stockfish are suitable for storage in coastal areas. Therefore, there are long traditions for lutefisk in Norway.
Over the course of 200 years, nearly one million Norwegians emigrated to the USA and other parts of the world, bringing their culture — and lutefisk — with them.
That’s why we created LUTEKOFTA — a one-of-a-kind garment inspired by tradition. Its pattern reflects the rich history of Norwegian fishing traditions, while the yarn, spun from Norwegian and Australian sheep, connects us to nature’s oldest fibers.
Proudly made at Osterøy in Norway, LUTEKOFTA is pure, natural, and comfortable — made for you.
